After living in New York City for a decade, electro-soul, contemporary R&B singer-songwriter Darrin Jonathan Banks relocated to Los Angeles. Like many R&B artists, he started singing in a church choir at the age of seven in North Carolina, where he grew up. It was there he realized the overwhelming power of music and its capacity to emotionally impact the audience and performer alike.
